A Quiet Start To A Different Kind Of Old Home Week

Life in Coronatime means we cancelled our July 1st BBQ, and will miss the parades, activities, and fireworks. We’ll find other ways to celebrate. Nevertheless, Happy Canada Day to friends and family across the way, and best wishes to all for a different kind of Old Home Week and Independence Day. Be well and stay safe!

Great Job Feeding Eastport Kids This Summer!

Great Job Feeding Eastport Kids This Summer! Jana Sutherland put together a great program for feeding lunches to Eastport kids at several locations for eight weeks this summer. With the City of Eastport acting as fiscal sponsor Jana found volunteers to pack lunches at the Cobscook Kitchen & Marketplace at the head of the breakwater. Many thanks to Jana for persisting through the heat of summer to help feed Eastport kids. Special thanks to the staff at the First National Bank who regularly volunteered and helped make the program such a success.
